REPORT
The researchers took an extra step in their data gathering process by requesting and obtaining
copies of the CCTV footage from the perimeter of the Odiongan Public Market. This footage was
crucial in determining the number of vehicles entering and exiting the market, providing
valuable insights into the parking needs and demands of the area.
To ensure comprehensive data collection, the researchers set a target duration of one month for
the collection of the CCTV videos. This allowed them to capture a significant amount of data and
observe patterns and trends over an extended period. The one month worth of CCTV footage
have already been collected, and the videos were carefully reviewed and analyzed to extract
relevant information regarding vehicle flow and parking patterns.
In addition to the CCTV footage, the researchers conducted a site visit to the location of the
proposed Multi-storey Parking Building/Facility. This on-site visit provided them with a firsthand
understanding of the physical space and its surrounding environment. During the visit, the
researchers also collected important dimensions and measurements that would be essential in
the design and planning phase.
To further aid in the conceptualization and preliminary design of the Multi-storey Parking
Building/Facility, the researchers obtained the Development Plan from the Municipal
Engineering Office. This plan provided crucial information about the existing infrastructure,
zoning regulations, and any proposed developments in the area. By integrating this information
with the data collected from the CCTV footage and site visit, the researchers were able to
develop a comprehensive understanding of the project requirements and constraints.
The acquired data from the site visit, CCTV footage analysis, and the Development Plan formed
the foundation for the conceptualization and preliminary design of the Multi-storey Parking
Building/Facility. The researchers utilized this data to identify the optimal location, size, and
layout of the facility, taking into account the parking demands and the existing infrastructure.
