01. Book and Magazine Controls
Live 360 preview of Double-click to
your book design replace any image
There are two types of book designs you can choose from - a thick, hard copy book and a thin,
soft cover magazine that’s more suited for promotion of guides, tutorials and other lighter publi-
cations. Book design dashboard (pictured above) provides a 360 degree preview of your book as
well as all of its pages. You can double-click on either of these pages to enter their respective
comps and swap out the designs.
In the timeline you will find a layer called “--- BOOK CONTROLS ---”. This layer has a number of
sliders to adjust your book’s height, width and thickness.
Adjusting your Magazine design is exactly the same, but
you have to use the “___MAGAZINE CONTROLS” comp
instead.

02. Pre-Animated Layouts
What makes this template the biggest time saver are the 10 professionally animated layouts that
we’ve built into it. Whether you’re promoting a single book, a whole course or even it’s digital
version, you will easily find an end-screen layout that suits your needs.
In addition to 8 end-screens, you will also
find 2 layouts with an alpha channel. These
can be used to bring up the book half way
through your video.
You can find all of the different layouts
located under “_TEMPLATE LAYOUTS”
folder.

03. Call-To-Actions Messages
Now that you have your book in place, we can move to designing your Call-to-Action message,
that will suggest what your viewers should do after watching the promo video.
Each of the layouts contain three Call-to-Action messages for you to choose from. They are fully
animated and have lots of great details to give them a professional look. These messages are
marked as “CTA MESSAGE 01-03” and either one can be turned on by clicking on the little eye
symbol to the left of them.
Once you pick a Call-to-Action design that works for you, simply double-click on that comp to
change any of it’s messages, fonts, colours and graphics to match your product.

04. Backgrounds
Finally, once you have your book and your Call-to-Action message designed, you can also adjust
your scene background. For that you have two options to choose from:
- A single colour background
- A textured background
Single Colour Background
When working with a single colour background, you
have a number of controls to adjust it. Double-click on
“BG - Single Colour” layer to open the comp. Then select
“--BG CONTROLS--” layer where you will see a number
of background control options displayed in the Effects
tab.
Textured Background
When using a textured background you will find a couple of different pre-made background for
both perspective and top down shots. There are no controls here, but you can replace any of the
images to make it your own.
