b) Why is it important to give distinct awards to Filipino scientists?
Awards are given to the people who performed well in all aspects of life and those who
had contributed knowledge to the people. Additionally, it honors and rewards Filipino scientists
for their excellent contributions to scientific research and development. Also, who has made a
major contribution to promoting and fostering excellence in science and technology research in
the country through its Recognition role. I think the aim of honoring Filipino scientists is to
acknowledge their work so that young people can be motivated and have an understanding of
what it is like to be a scientist. The award must be made public in order to remind the public that
Filipino scientists are continuously pushing themselves to solve pressing societal issues and, as
a result, to improve the lives of Filipinos.
