In our 2025 survey, the most common claim State Farm customers filed concerned water damage, and 40% of people said that the value of their most recent claim was between $1,000 and $5,000. Notably, nearly 93% of people reported that their claims were approved.
When we asked State Farm policyholders if they were satisfied with the insurance provider’s claims process, almost 92% responded yes. Out of the dissatisfied Sate Farm customers, the most common complaint was that claim approval took too long. Some policyholders felt like the company dragged out their claims process for longer than necessary.

Our most recent survey on home insurance claims had 17 respondents who reported having a policy with Erie. Water damage was the most common claim filed by Erie policyholders, and almost 36% of claims were valued between $20,000 and $30,000. Out of all Erie claims, 93% were approved.
