Usually during the winter season we are always looking for signs of spring. Yes, it seems to be a long season, but that is only because of the cold air, gray skies and being locked up inside for too many hours. The fact is, winter is not as long as it seems if we just occupy our time thinking about or doing other things. I like to use my time working on indoor projects that I refuse to do when the weather outside is nice. It is also a good time to clean through your closets and storage areas to make room for other things or just making things more organized. Cleaning closets is like working in the garden, as you never quite finishing working on the project you are on before you get distracted into starting another one. Typically, this is why it takes us so long to get anything done and at times may take us an entire season to accomplish. The art is to enjoy the process to getting to the final results.

When the winter season arrives, we quickly notice how bleak the landscape becomes, but we also notice the items that stand out among the browns, grays and whites of winter.
