Parentheses in GS1 AI data values #156

I have a string "{FNC1}010290002846701521abcd(X){FNC1}93aaaa" representing:

AI (01) - GTIN (length 14) = 02900028467015
AI (21) - Serial (length 7) = abcd(X)
AI (93) - Internal checksum (length 4) = aaaa

So, I embrace AI with brackets: (01)02900028467015(21)abcd(X)(93)aaaa

But the image contains the message: 010290002846701521abcdX{FNC1}93aaaa

There are no brackets around X in the serial now.

What am I doing wrong?

Use the parse option and specify the parentheses in the AI data values by their ASCII value:

Barcode:  GS1 DataMatrix
Contents: (01)12345678901231(21)abcd^040X^041(93)aaaa
Options:  parse
