Hey, I’m Max de Groot

Hi! I’m a Pipeline TD and Technical Artist based in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands, currently working at Planet X in Amsterdam. I graduated in 2024 from the Visual Effects & Immersive Media (VFXIM) program at the Netherlands Film Academy, where I developed a strong interest in both the creative and technical sides of visual effects.

I picked up design at 12 and launched my own business in March 2017. What began with creating websites and logos for friends gradually led me to visual effects through online After Effects tutorials. Since then, I’ve continued to grow both creatively and technically, working on projects that range from compositing and FX to tool development and pipeline-focused workflows.
