Creating collections is still possible in free plan via "..." menu on a request and leads to multiple errors #1723

Description

Describe the bug
In the free plan, collections are not available. However, it’s still possible to create one by selecting a request, clicking on the “...” menu, choosing “Save to collection”, and then creating a new collection. Once a collection is created this way, any further interaction in the app leads to one of the following error messages:

Log:
“The extension will not function if the following limits are exceeded:
Free Version Limits:
Environments 0
Collections 0”

Pop-up Message:
“Warning: You have exceeded the limits supported in the free version. Upgrade to the paid version or check the logs for more details.”

To Reproduce

  1. Open any request.
  2. Click on the “...” (options) menu.
  3. Select “Save to collection.”
  4. Create a new collection.
  5. Try clicking on any request afterwars

Expected behavior
The option to “Save to collection” should be disabled for users on the free plan, just like it already is when trying to create one via the “Collections” tab.

Platform:

  • OS: Windows 11
  • vscode version: 1.105.1
  • node version: 22.19.0
  • extension version: 2.38.1
