This PR will add the first version of the data flow description and diagrams to the repo.
The goal is to get this branch as well as the C4 branch added so that we finish setting up the repo.
The quarto doc contains hidden mermaid scripting, this is currently replaced with a png file, as the newest version of mermaid isn't supported by quarto.
