Can you please detail which steps you are taking and what is broken? For context, I removed the DNS entry because someone hardcoded mitm.it checks into an application, which resulted in a $xxxx/month AWS bill on our end. We've been unable to identify who did that and why. Any pointers would be highly welcome. |

HI @mhils, are there any plans to move mitm.it to an alternative DNS service that wouldn't result in per-query fees? |

Wasn't mitm.it solely a static website that said "You are not passing through mitmproxy"? I believe any normal provider (github pages even) would happily host it for free |

I just added DNS entry to my local dns server mitm.it=1.1.1.1 |

Happy news: We've finally managed to move mitm.it into the rest of our infrastructure and I've made it resolve to 203.0.113.1 (from TEST-NET-3). I believe this should fix most issues. If it doesn't, we can look into setting up a static page again. Nameserver updates are in progress and will still take about 24hrs. |

I've attempted to goto mitm.it multiple times over the past few days, it does now resolve to the mentioned IP but the site as a whole does not work. After waiting a little while, the request will ALWAYS time out. |

To be clear, you're trying to access mitm.it through a mitmproxy instance? If so, it may be the case that we need to put some static page there. 🙃 |
