PhD Student @ Northwestern University | Computational Genomics • Machine Learning • ncORF & Immuno-oncology
I'm a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University, working at the intersection of:
- Computational genomics
- Cancer immunology
- Machine learning / Deep learning
- Non-canonical ORFs (ncORFs) & translational regulation
I build large-scale genome-wide analysis pipelines, integrate multi-modal biological signals, and develop computational approaches to understand ncORF translation, antigenicity, and regulatory genomics.
A multi-modal framework combining:
- Ribo-seq periodicity & ORF discovery
- CAGE/TSS signal integration
- AlphaFold pLDDT structural confidence
- B-cell & MHC epitope prediction
- Tissue-specific signal integration (τ-index, fold-change)
Goal: build a tissue-resolved, structure-aware map of non-canonical ORFs relevant to immunogenicity and translation biology.
Languages:
Python, R, Bash, SQL
ML/DL:
PyTorch, Transformers, PEFT (LoRA / Adapters), BERT/GPT modeling
Bioinformatics:
Ribo-seq, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, WGS, CNV/SV analysis, immunogenicity prediction
Tools:
Snakemake, SLURM, GitHub Actions, Docker, Conda, UCSC Tools, GATK, AlphaFold, IEDB
Comprehensive tissue-specific ncORF scoring pipeline integrating 15+ genomic and structural modalities.
End-to-end bulk + single-cell gene expression workflow with visualization and statistical modules.
