MapServer 2026 Budget
The maximum budget for each OSGeo project budget for 2026 is set at $2,000 USD - see here.

We propose to contact the OSGeo board for any emergency operations, such as vulnerability management, as/if they arise during 2026.
The OSGeo budget only provides a contribution towards the full cost of the above activities. In addition to funding from OSGeo, the MapServer PSC actively tries to raise funds from other sources, examples of which are shown below:
- The January 2025 a proposal for a grant application to NLnet Foundation (https://nlnet.nl) was unfortunately rejected.
- The mapserver-users group was emailed with a request for sponsorship and a link to the MapServer Sponsorship Opportunities page.
MapServer has a number of sponsorship opportunities listed at MapServer Sponsorship Opportunities. No sponsorship funds were rasied during 2025.
