I build generative foundation models for the de novo design of molecules and materials.
A lot of my thinking goes into making sure that generative AI systems generalize well to novel molecular systems far-beyond their training data. Previously Staff Research Scientist at Isomorphic Labs (AI for drug discovery), and before that at Yandex Research, where I founded the Shifts Project — industrial-scale robustness benchmarks across weather, autonomous driving, medical imaging, machine translation, and marine routing.
