Good morning!
Happy Holidays :-) In order to avoid installing all the necessary development libraries on my Kubuntu 25.10 host, I compliled Handbrake for Linux in a Ubuntu Virtual Machine and then exported ghb to the host machine. In fact I did that by overwriting the already, via app store, installed ghb in /usr/bin.
But in order to get the self compiled version working in my interface language, I had to create symlinks for ghb.mo from /usr/share/[...] to /usr/local/share/[...].
I'd dare to ask if I could compile handbrake with the system's default paths ("/usr/share/...") instead of the manual install paths ("/usr/local/share/...")? Is there a compile setting for this?
