Does your Rust code contain viruses?
I'm glad you asked, my answer is no.
Any newly generated ELF/PE binary file may be detected as suspected malicious behavior, especially in Rust and Go, where the build products of these programming languages are more likely to be misjudged as "viruses" even if you don't write any malicious code.
When you use a sandbox like virustotal to scan them, you get a Trojan horse or other malicious result, so you come down below my Issues and shout and spread everywhere.
But what you don't know is that only a few antivirus engines detect viruses, and the results they give are very common false positives. And in the time after this, they knew it was a false positive, and thus slowly corrected these problems, and I had lost my reputation, which was not funny.
Why does RecastLib crash?
It may require some dependencies to run:
- Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (Only Windows)
- Windows: OpenSSL Win32; Linux: OpenSSL
Or it may crash when it is temporarily checked by anti-virus software, and you just need to wait for a while.
I can't really guarantee it since I only have one computer, if you experience crashes please report it to me.
Can I use RecastLib in my project?
Just keep the author and source.
Will RecastLib provide compatibility for other platforms?
Starting with the open-source release in 2026, RecastLib will only offer Windows AMD64/ARM64 compatibility.
This does not mean that existing Linux and macOS compatibility has been cancelled; compatibility will still be provided by Velocity Native.
Will this mod be compatible with 1.20.1 and older versions?
For those older versions, compatibility is currently only available for 1.19.2 and 1.20.1.
They are actually inactive and I will only submit in the latest set of versions.
