Actually, I'm using this "bug" as a feature.

Changing the default unquoted search to substring search might have a perfomance impact on larger installations.

I was not aware of this. I copied the values from my previous setup so I skipped reading the docs on this. Admin is in my OIDC system hence I had no issue whereas the rest had issues once they logged in. Thanks for clarifying.

Can you tell me how I can synchronise the existing users?

As I’ve migrated from LDAP to SAML2 and we used usernames before, everyone now has their username as their display name.

We want to change this to First Name|Surname.

Unfortunately, I can’t find a solution other than tinkering with the SQL database.

Do you have a solution for this?

Or can you build a manual sync into the CLI?

Currently the upload button, and sidebar upload hint text shows even if the user does not have permission to upload new images. We should hide this, with maybe a message to indicate that they lack permission to upload images.

Describe the Bug

I am using bookstack with my team with me being the admin. I assign other users roles (just the default ones) after the logged in under Users settings. After sometime/days, I get a message from my teammate that they cant access the books. When I go to the settings again, a few users have all the roles unchecked (the users affected are random so far its always other than me).

Steps to Reproduce

1. Use bookstack with multiple users
2. Assign roles
3. Wait a few days
4. check access at settings

Expected Behaviour

roles should be fixed till changed.

@richardm1 Typically only the memory_limit needs to be much higher for images since it's when the image resizing is done, in memory, when images are loaded as their raw data, which could be many many multiples of the image file size.

Since OP never responded I'm going to close this off.
Happy to consider targeted improvements where needed though.
