At present, Axmol Engine does not operate its own nonprofit entity. Instead, we rely on the Open Source Collective (OSC), a U.S.-registered 501(c)(6) nonprofit fiscal host dedicated to supporting open source projects.

By sponsoring Axmol through OSC, Corporate contributors benefit from transparent financial reporting, proper invoicing, and compliance with international nonprofit standards. While contributions made via OSC are generally not tax-deductible, the structure ensures accountability and provides formal invoices, which are valuable for internal reimbursement and auditing purposes.

This arrangement ensures accountability and makes it easier for companies to justify sponsorship expenses during audits. In contrast, PayPal and GitHub Sponsors are designed primarily for individual backers and are not suitable for large Corporate payments.

Sponsorships made via PayPal are directed to Simdsoft Limited, a China‑registered company controlled by halx99.

Simdsoft Limited is currently classified as a small‑scale enterprise, with tax‑exempt income (including commercial revenue) up to USD$21,000 per month. This structure makes PayPal suitable for receiving individual sponsorships.

Within this threshold, Simdsoft can help reduce financial hosting fees for Axmol. In addition, Simdsoft Limited is responsible for consolidating and summarizing the transaction data displayed on this website.
